Boomerang’s services, which include creative, social and digital production, will from now on be integrated into Publicis Benelux where Jacco ter Schegget is CEO.
Boomerang will continue to operate under its own name at the current location. The four founders, Fikret and Eldin Fetahovic, Bo The and Alexander Veltman will all stay on in their current positions and will report to Ter Schegget. Pierre Karsten will step down as a supervisory director at Boomerang.
Boomerang and Publicis are no strangers to each other. Publicis, for instance, is Heineken’s creative agency, while Boomerang has been taking care of social for the same brand for years. Le Pub, an agency set up earlier this year that integrates data, creativity and tech, had Heineken as its first client.
“This acquisition not only boosts our services in our Benelux model and at Le Pub, but also our entire global network. It’s more than just dynamic production: it’s also the ability to understand culture and make brands relevant”
Jacco ter Schegget, CEO of Publicis Groupe Benelux
Fikret Fetahovic, co-founder of Boomerang: ‘When we worked together at Heineken, it quickly became clear that there is a great deal of respect for each other on both a professional and personal level. That chemistry and respect for each other’s talent made this process easier.’
