Joris Garritsen Appointed Chief Data & Product Officer at Publicis Groupe Netherlands

Publicis Groupe Netherlands is taking the next step in its ‘The Power of One’ vision with the appointment of Joris Garritsen as Chief Data & Product Officer.

Garritsen will lead the expansion of Epsilon’s data services while developing and scaling other innovative data solutions. Operating from a central hub, he will support the entire Groupe, including Publicis Media, Boomerang, and LePub, and will report directly to CEO Isabelle Dacz.

Garritsen previously launched NP Digital in the Dutch market and held various roles at GroupM (WPP). In his new role, he will focus on enhancing Publicis Groupe’s existing data and technological expertise. “There is already a fantastic foundation locally,” Garritsen said. “By further integrating the international data powerhouse Epsilon into our operations, we can elevate data, technology, creativity, production, and media to the next level. I am incredibly excited to contribute to what feels like a unique opportunity.”

CEO Isabelle Dacz highlighted the importance of data-driven operations across the organization. “Media, brand, and social specialists work hand-in-hand with data analysts and cultural experts as part of our ‘Power of One’ approach. Epsilon’s products and other data solutions are critical in this framework, driving not only more creative campaigns but also more relevant media,” Dacz stated.

Epsilon, acquired by Publicis Groupe in 2019, remains one of the largest marketing industry acquisitions to date. With Garritsen’s appointment, Publicis Groupe aims to further strengthen its data-driven capabilities in the Netherlands.
