
From a distance the installation says I’m Fine. Step closer to see nothing is fine. A special typography made from war torn materials gathered from all over Ukraine tells a powerful story. Unveiled at Burning Man, the installation did not only speak to the festival crowd, it reached a global audience to keep the focus of the world onto the war.
The installation in combination with Tapolsky’s set transformed the space from a static installation into a living, breathing, emotional event. His performance turned attendees into participants, creating a deeply personal connection with Ukraine’s story.
The DJ set was live streamed and shared widely, garnering over 286,000 views and comments from viewers around the world. Many called it the most powerful artistic performance of the year. On-site, thousands gathered for the performance, and the emotional impact led to tears, hugs, and real-time conversations about Ukraine’s situation.
